Pathway Career Opportunities

Is God calling you to become more involved in the life of our church? We invite you to prayerfully consider these exciting career opportunities:

Unlimited Coordinator — We are looking for a coordinator to lead this unique ministry, which serves families who have children with special needs. You would oversee activities during each of our services, and possible Respite Nights. The time commitment would be five to 10 hours per week.

Women’s Ministry Director — The ideal candidate would oversee our women’s Bible studies, retreats, and other activities during the year. The time commitment would be about 15-20 hours per week.

Communications Developer — We’re looking for an individual with talent in graphic design, videography, and/or social media promotions. This part-time position would require 10-20 hours per week, depending on experience.

If you are interested in any of these positions, you can schedule an interview by emailing Executive Pastor John Westurn at jwesturn@lifeatpathway.com.

College Student Lunch

If you’re enrolled at one of our area colleges or universities, we invite you to join us for lunch on Sunday, October 27! Even better, your meal is on us! We’ll meet in the café right after the 10:45am service for some great food and conversation. Come meet our staff and learn more about what  life at Pathway looks like for students.

Family Discipleship Class

There’s no denying it — we live in a complex world. And as a result, parenting has become much more challenging in this age of screens, smartphones, and social media. But it’s a battle we can win with the right strategies. To that end, we’ve put together a panel of parents to discuss what it means to disciple our kids in these areas — and we’d love to share what we’re learning with you. This special session will take place at 9am on Sunday, November 17. Register now at familyatpathway.com and let’s take on this challenge in the most powerful way possible — together.

Surviving the Holidays
If you are grieving the loss of a loved one, we’re offering a special GriefShare session from 2-4pm on Monday, November 11. Attenders will receive encouragement, support, and valuable tools to navigate the challenges of the holiday season. To learn more or to RSVP, call Karen Worrell at 724.843.6381 or email her at kworrell@lifeatpathway.com.

First Responders & Families

We are so grateful for the active military and first responders in our Pathway community, and we admire how they serve so faithfully and courageously. We’ve also seen how stressful long shifts and deployments can be on spouses and children. Please know we’re praying for you and we would love to connect you with others who understand the complexities of maintaining a strong family in such a career. To that end, we invite all spouses of military or first responders to join us for an evening of encouragement at 6:30pm on Wednesday, November 13, in the café. We’ll have light refreshments and child care will be available. To RSVP, email Teresa Huang at teresaihuang@gmail.com and let her know if you need child care and if you have any food allergies.

Friendsgiving Celebration

Mending Hearts, Pathway’s support group for widows, will host a Friendsgiving celebration at 6pm on Monday, November 4, in F-101. Bring your favorite holiday snack to share and join as us as we hear uplifting thoughts from our guest speaker. RSVP to Beth Mixter at 724.601.4887.

Film Focuses on Adoption Awareness

In observance of adoption awareness month, a free screening of “Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot,” will take place at 3pm on Sunday, November 10, at First Presbyterian Church of Beaver. This powerful and moving film highlights the needs of the foster care system and how a church community can step up and help. Please let us know you’re coming by signing up at this link. To learn more about this event or if you have questions about adoption, email Michelle Smith at president@blesssingsthoughadoption.org or call her at 410.739.8990.

Piano Players Wanted
Has God gifted you with musical talent? Pathway is looking for piano players to join our vibrant Worship Ministry. If you would be willing to serve with us, email Mattie Livada at mlivada@lifeatpathway.com.

Dominican Republic Trip
Pathway is sending a team to the Dominican Republic to serve alongside missionaries Jake and Faye Vincik. The trip will take place from January 25 through February 1 and will include evangelism, food ministry, construction, medical care, and local outreach. If you are interested or have questions, email Bryson Herge at brysonherge@gmail.com.

Discover Membership

Join us for our next Discover Membership Class, which will take place from 5-8pm on Sunday, October 20. Pastor Jeff McNicol will lead the discussion on a variety of topics, including what we believe and what it means to be a member at Pathway. To learn more and to sign up, call the church office at 724.843.6381 or email Nicole Johnston at njohnston@lifeatpathway.com.

Newcomers Luncheon
Newer to Pathway? Our next lunch event will take place after the 10:45am service on Sunday, November 24. We’ll gather in the café where you can enjoy a free meal, meet our pastors and directors, connect with others in our church family, and share how you’d like to plug in to our ministries. Child care will be provided, although your kids are welcome to attend with you. To sign up, email Mattie Livada at mlivada@lifeatpathway.com or write “Newcomers Luncheon” on your Connect Card.

Baptism Opportunity
If you have accepted Christ as your Savior, then we encourage you to take the exhilarating step of baptism. The next opportunity to publicly declare your faith in Jesus will be during our services on Thursday, November 14, and on Sunday, November 17. If you are interested in being baptized, write “baptism” on your Connect Card or call the office at 724.843.6381.

Special Event for Men

Attention, Pathway men! If you enjoy great food, laughter, and fun, then you won’t want to miss our first “Friday Fellowship Feast!” Delicious smoked brisket is on the menu as we explore the importance of godly friendships as disciples of Christ. This special event is set for 6:30pm on Friday, November 15, at the church. Babysitting also will be provided, so your wife will enjoy a relaxing night, too

Free Digital Content

We’re passionate about providing opportunities for vibrant spiritual growth here at Pathway, and we’re offering a free digital resource to help your family draw closer to God! It’s called RightNow Media and it features more than 20,000 videos you can stream on your smart phone, tablet, or TV. You can access world-class biblical content on your way to work, during lunch, at the gym, or any time that fits your busy schedule. Just write your email address on your Connect Card along with the words “RightNow Media.” We’ll take it from there.

Priorities of Pathway

We believe worshiping, growing, and serving are vital to the life of our church, so our desire is for each of you to engage in all three areas. Here’s how:

Worship: Take part in one of our weekend services in Chippewa or in Moon.

Grow: If you desire spiritual growth, prayer and friendship, join one of our weekday small groups or a Sunday morning group.

Serve: We offer a variety of ministry opportunities where you can serve God and each other. Jump in and find your fit!

Join our Worship Team

While our musicians and singers play a vital role in pointing us to Christ, our worship team extends far beyond the stage to make each weekend service come together. Would you like to join this exciting ministry? We have openings for instrumentalists, vocalists, stage crew, projection, lighting, photography, video and more. Also, if you have a desire to serve our deaf community, we are looking for some enthusiastic and compassionate volunteers to interpret our services through American Sign Language. Even if you don’t know sign language, we’d still love to have you join our team! Email Sarah Hart at sehart@lifeatpathway.com to let us know if you’re interested in either of these opportunities.
