Summer Podcast Discussions

Can Christians disagree on cultural matters while keeping the gospel central?

We’ll find out this summer during our three-week podcast series. The format is simple: We’ll listen to a podcast at home and we’ll discuss it when we gather at church. The vision is simple, too: We must think critically our current cultural moment, but we must seek God’s wisdom for the best way to engage in the world.

Our desire is to unite in Christ and remain winsome, even charitable, as we explore culturally relevant issues through a biblical lens. Not sure what a podcast is? No worries. We’ll be happy to show you how to access the materials we’ll be using.

Our study begins on Tuesday, July 9. All the sessions are free and we’ll provide child care for a suggested donation. Here are the times we’ll gather:

Tuesday Mornings — 10-11am

Tuesday Evenings — 7-8pm

Outdoor Connections - Hike & Cycling Event

Is there anything more uplifting than time in God's creation on a beautiful Saturday morning? There is, actually. It’s connecting with other women along the way

In July,  our Hiking & Cycling leaders are teaming up to bring you a really fun event. We will head to Moraine State Park for a hike OR trail ride!

Here are the complete details:

What: A 5-mile hike or a 15 mile bike ride. We will enjoy our hike or bike ride first, and then gather for lunch around noon while we hear share in a devotional led by Danelle Gouldsbarry, Women's intern.

When: 9am on Saturday, July 13

Where: 157 N shore Dr Portersville, Pa 16051

Registration: Please sign up so we know how many people to expect.

Questions: Email Faith Lambert (hiking) or Tamara Price (bicycling). Contact Faith or Tamara for carpooling info.

– SERVING OTHERS –

Dignity Ministry
Dignity robes meet on the third Wednesday. Dignity quilts meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays. Also, we meet on the fourth Tuesday from 12:00-3:00 pm to sew hats, pillows and seat belt pads.

This ministry serves the needs of cancer patients by making items to comfort them. Dignity Robes provides modesty for women undergoing breast and lung cancer radiation treatments, while Dignity Hats offers hats and turbans for patients. Dignity Quilts sews quilts for patients to use during treatment. We also make small pillows to ease the aches and discomfort patients might experience during treatments. All items benefit patients at Heritage Valley, AHN Beaver, Hillman Cancer Beaver, Dialysis Clinic Chippewa and DaVita Clinic in Moon.

Take-home kits are available for those who want to work at home. If you would like to serve in this ministry, contact Tamara Price at 724.777.1946.
